The reliability assessment of electric machines plays a very critical role in today’s engineering world. requires good understanding motors and their root causes. Electric mostly fail due to mechanical problems bearing damage is the main source this. bearings can be damaged by mechanical, electrical, thermal stresses. Among all stresses, researcher should give special attention electrical one, which current shaft voltage. This review paper introduces comprehensive study voltage for inverter-fed machines. aims discuss several motor failure processes, as well sources definitions different kinds currents are addressed parasitic capacitances, key component describe current, determined. Several measurement approaches will discussed. Furthermore, modeling covered together with machine’s capacitances. Moreover, mitigation techniques, described many papers, thoroughly addressed. use rewound multiphase proposed compared three-phase machine. Finally, various pulse width modulation techniques systems that reduce investigated, findings literature summarized techniques.
